Google Pixel Buds Pro
Larger battery, active noise cancellation , good case model, good quality sound, and better features ! It's here.
The case the buds comes in, is the same as before. But it is totally worth it. Because many wireless headphones have those thick, or lagers cases; but this is relatively well rounded, it is ipx2 splash resistant, has a usbc port at the bottom and has the wireless charging. So you can charge it on any wireless charger you have, or use your phone if it has power sharing.
Now on to what's in the case. The pixel buds have a new shape to it, it has a black plastic look to it mostly and to its end with colors of Charcoal, Fog, Coral, and Lemongrass. A perk is that it allows you to put it in, even your coin pocket of a jeans. That's how small the case is.
Just like any other wireless ear buds you take those form the case, turn it and adjust the ear buds in. They do not stick out too much from the ears, it is just a little bit bigger than the last pixel buds.
These buds does not have the wings tip anymore. The wing tips do have its pro and cons, a pro is that with the wing tips it can stay locked in the ear better. So if a person runs wearing them, it wouldn't fall out. But if it is in the ear for a long period of time it can feel a bit difficult wearing it. So the new Google Pixel Buds Pro does not have that anymore.
The buds are Ipx4 rated meaning that it is resistant to water splashes, also you can use them during workouts and stuff.
Once you have paired up the buds to a device, there is many features that are available with the use of the pixel buds app. The buds provide good sound quality from the 11 mm dynamic speaker drivers. It is clear, and the noise cancellation also does a good job of getting rid of background noise. And there was no bluetooth lag when watching a video or listening to any music.
Music on that lower end frequency's sounds really well with these buds. For listening to other things where you wouldn't really need all that base, where the EQ would be much better but the pixel buds app does not have the EQ.
If you do want to adjust the sound system of the buds, you can check your phone if it has EQ settings built in; because some do. And maybe the app you are using may have it too, you just have to play around with it to see if its there. For now pixel buds pro does not have the EQ built in. However, Google has said that there will be a full five band EQ will be avaiable this year.
According to a user it is said that the overall volume is slightly lower than the commonly used buds. It isn't significantly lower volume. As every noise cancelling ear buds do commonly have a transparency mode, these buds does also have them. It is are alright in these buds too, it will give you the sounds though the microphones and you will get the ambient noise. But lets hope that the transparency mode does get updated and we get a better quality transparency mode.
A pro is the software and the features that are built in the buds. Like its cool to have the google assistant through the buds. You can press on the buds and ask questions !
In the pixel buds app, in the settings you can customize the touch and hold controls. Touch once to play the music, touch twice to skip forward, and three times to go back.
The touch feature to change the volume was not a smooth transition. The buds do not have a larger surface to swipe it at ease, so you might have some difficulty with this. You can use your phone directly and turn up or down the volume for it.
The pixel buds has cool features like multi device support, so you can pair your phone and another device at the same time. And you can seamlessly switch between them with no issues.
There is the find device feature just in case you lose your Pixel Buds. There is the ear detection so it will play and pause when you take it out from your ear and put it back in. And there is the ear tip seal feature, it checks how much of the noise cancelling is happening and it can recommend a different sized ear tip to improve the seal.
If they add the feature where the buds can increase your volume if the noise around you gets louder is missing. But apparently that feature will be coming.
Overall these buds do have, most of the features which other ear buds have plus the batter life has been improved. You will be getting 7 hours of listening to the music with noise cancellation on. Which is plenty of hours to listen, this is a big advantage will many of you may like.
