Elon Musk To Start Human Trials - Neuralink

Elon Musk and its Neuralink company are hoping to start Human trials, for its brain chips.

A co director of Neurotechnology at the University of Washington has said that this field has been around since the 1960's, but it really started to get noticed and took off since the 90's.

Musk is in the process of asking the U.S. regulators to allow human trials, for implementing the Neuralink brain chips. He believes he can implant the brain chips into a person in about 6 months.

This may seem daunting to many, but there are many who are excited to see what Musk has to offer to the public. Musk intents the brain chips to help those who have brain injury's, have had no eye sight, and even severe spine injury.

The neuralink chip is about the size of a large coin,  it will be implanted in the skull. It will have ultra-thin wires going directly into the brain.

He wants to provide a opportunity to those who suffer from damages and illness that prevents people from being able to communicate to others or do things they want to do. For instance a person just needs to think of something -  with the use of the implanted brain chip, they can type on to a screen. That is something we have already seen in a monkey.
