$70M Lotto Max Ticket not claimed yet
In a matter of weeks, a Lotto Max jackpot worth $70 million is on the verge of becoming the largest unclaimed lottery prize in Canadian history.
As stated by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG), the jackpot from the draw held on June 28, 2022, remains unclaimed. If the winning ticket holder does not come forward by June 28, 2023, the opportunity to claim the prize will expire.
The ticket was bought at an authorized lottery retailer located in Scarborough. Despite having substantial information about the ticket, the OLG is unable to identify the winner and face a challenge due to the lack of surveillance video at the store.
The winner of the $70-million ticket has a one-year period from the date of the draw to claim their prize. If they fail to come forward before the deadline, the unclaimed money will be redistributed to players through upcoming bonus games or promotions.
